Locator Unit (VLU) |

The
VLU is an intelligent tracking device with
an integrated car alarm. It houses a GPS
receiver to pinpoint the vehicle’s location
and a GPRS enabled GSM modem, which transmits
this information along with the vehicle’s
identification, its speed, date and time
stamp etc to the Monitoring Station. The
GSM antenna is non-directional and the VLU
itself is a compact unit, allowing inconspicuous
and covert installation within the vehicle
and making car snatchers oblivious to their
presence The unit’s sensors and triggers
can be connected to key points in the vehicle
like the engine, ignition, headlights, horn,
door locks, power windows, boot, cargo hatch,
speedometer, temperature and fuel gauge
etc and even existing alarm system. The
performance data form these sensors is reported
to the monitoring station. The sensors secure
the vehicle against theft and allow the
vehicle to be controlled remotely, from
the monitoring station |

StarSatellite®
uses existing 3rd party cellular networks
such as U-Fone, Mobilink etc taking advantage
of their extensive coverage throughout most
urban areas of the country. GSM and GPRS
telecommunication technologies allow secure
voice and data communication between the
vehicles and the monitoring station. |

Star
Technologies 24 hour active monitoring station
oversees the entire vehicle tracking and
stolen vehicle recovery process. The monitoring
station receives constant updates from the
vehicle which enables it to display its
position on a digitized roadmap of the area.
The data transmitted by sensors is uploaded
on our secure server to derive useful statistical
information about the vehicle. Fleet operators
can access this information at all times.
If the vehicle is reported stolen, the monitoring
station takes control of the vehicle, remotely
instructing the VLU to take preventive actions
such as immobilizing the car, triggering
the horn, flashing headlights and locking
the doors etc. This not only dissuades car
snatchers but also helps authorities locate
and retrieve your vehicle quicker. The Monitoring
Station also informs the owner, police and
concerned authorities of the vehicle’s whereabouts
and if within its jurisdiction, despatches
a Mobile Response Force to engage the vehicle. |

throughout the major city. Within the city
limits, Mobile Trackers can locate, pursue
and gain control of the vehicle, ensuring
the safety and protection of its occupants,
at all times. Star Technologies uses its
strong police liaison and support structure
to recover vehicles outside the city limits. |
