| How StarSatellite® Works |
1. The vehicle to be tracked is fitted with a GPS receiver and a small antenna which receives information from at least 4 Global Positioning Satellite
2. When required, the exact position of the vehicle is calculated in terms of its longitude & latitude with reference to the Global Positioning Satellite
3. This position along with additional information like vehicle’s speed, time, date, altitude and the data from the sensors is transmitted to Star Technologies Monitoring Station
4. Once the vehicle has been located, all further communication is switched over to third party cellular networks like Mobilink & UFone, or else to Star Technologies proprietary communication network, StarNet
5. The GSM network constantly transmits SMS / GPRS data pertaining to the vehicle’s mobility
6. At the monitoring station, this data is plotted onto digitized map of the region and continually updated to monitor the vehicle’s changing position at all times
7. The data is also simultaneously uploaded on Star Technologies secure website
8. Fleet Managers and vehicle owners can log-on to Star Technologies secure web portal and check the vehicle’s position in real-time. They can also view performance data & statistics related to the vehicle
9. In case the vehicle is reported stolen, the vehicle is disabled. Vehicle owner, police and concerned authorities are alerted to its location for recovery
| How Electronic Ring Works |
1. Owners and fleet operators predesignate out of bound zones for their vehicle on digitized roadmaps
2. If the vehicle approaches an out of bound area, the VLU alerts the monitoring station of its location
3. The monitoring station contacts the vehicle owner to re-confirm authorization
4. If the vehicle is not authorized by the owner to leave the area, the Monitoring Station remotely immobilizes the vehicle
5. If the vehicle is within jurisdiction, Mobile Trackers pick up its location and recover it within minutes
