How StarTrac® Works | |
1. |
If the
sensors in the vehicle detect tampering, the VLU automatically
triggers an alarm to deter the thief and simultaneously transmits
a silent alert to the monitoring station. A silent alarm may
also be relayed by pressing the panic button in an emergency |
2. |
The
VLU helps determine the vehicle’s location and transmits this
data along with vehicle identification, date, time and the direction
the vehicle is headed, to the monitoring station. If a vehicle
is reported stolen the monitoring station can request this information
by remotely activating the VLU |
3. |
At
the monitoring station, the vehicle’s location is displayed
on a computer generated map of the region |
4. |
The
monitoring station instructs the VLU to shut down the engine,
flash headlights and honk the horns |
5. |
The
nearest Mobile Tracker Team, vehicle’s owner, police and other
concerned authorities are informed of the vehicle’s location |
6. |
The
Mobile Trackers narrow-in on the vehicle and recover it with
or without the carjackers |

How Electronic Ring Works | |
1. |
Your
car approaches the city limits pre-marked by strategically mounted
electronic interrogators around the exit zones of the city |
2. |
If
the car is not authorized to leave the city, a backup interrogation
is launched and if confirmed, your car must stay within the
city limits |
3. |
The
Monitoring Station automatically disables the vehicle, shutting
it down completely |
4. |
The
Mobile Trackers pick up the vehicle’s location on their receivers
and recover it within minutes |
